Many customers are curious about where the name Bown of London originated – Our original founder the late Mr Alan Bown, was a highly successful businessman and philanthropist who had a passion for British luxury products –

He of course drove a Bentley, his suits were made in Saville Row, then when in the 1980’s he could not find a bathrobe that met his expectations of superior quality, luxury and design. He did what any entrepreneur would do ….namely he created his own luxury brand & Bown of London was born!

Many of the designs we feature in our collection today were designed by him - Bown of London proudly continues our founder’s legacy to this day.
